I thought, right...I know me and I can only lose 5 or so pounds in 6 weeks. In my mind, at the time, it was really only about how much weight I could lose. Now, I get it. I'm not even concerned about the weight anymore (although it's a nice side effect). It has become more about increasing my endurance, my core strength, and getting faster for my race.
I DO hold myself differently. I'm more confident, and for the first time in my life, I'm enjoying exercising. And I'm really enjoying the effects of the exercise - I've got more energy, I am stronger, and my clothes fit better! I've lost 12 lbs, 1 jean size, and I can consistently jog around 3 miles (very slowly, but still...)
Even more amazing is the effect I'm having on those around me. My daughter, Katlyn, has also started BCOR; my husband, Cliff, has started walking and riding his bike every day; and suddenly my mom, sister, and 3 cousins have started training for walks/runs in their local area (they live in Utah). My cousins are even talking about coming here next year to do the Danskin with me. This is definitely the first time I've ever been an exercise inspiration!
I can't thank BCOR enough for the support and encouragement they provide. My life is in a very different place today, and the results are priceless!
